Removal [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Screw

        Remove the 2 clips, 3 bolts, nut, screw and rear floor side member cover LH.

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Remove the 3 clips, 3 bolts, nut, screw, plate washer and rear floor side member cover LH.

  2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Remove the 2 clips, 3 bolts, nut, screw and rear floor side member cover RH.

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Remove the 3 clips, 3 bolts, nut, screw, plate washer and rear floor side member cover RH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SEAL LH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Grommet

        Remove the 3 clips, 3 plate washers, grommet and front fender seal LH.

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Grommet

        Remove the 4 clips, 4 plate washers, grommet and front fender seal LH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SEAL RH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Grommet

        Remove the 3 clips, 3 plate washers, grommet and front fender seal RH.

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Grommet

        Remove the 4 clips, 4 plate washers, grommet and front fender seal RH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Remove the 4 grommets, 6 clips, nut, bolt and front floor cover LH.

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Remove the 3 grommets, 6 clips, nut, bolt and front floor cover LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Remove the 4 grommets, 6 clips, nut, bolt and front floor cover RH.

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:

        Remove the 3 grommets, 6 clips, nut, bolt and front floor cover RH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

  8. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  10. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR CROSS BRACE LH (w/ Front Suspension Member Brace) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and front No. 1 floor cross brace LH.

  12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR CROSS BRACE RH (w/ Front Suspension Member Brace) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and front No. 1 floor cross brace RH.

  13. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 12 bolts and front center floor brace sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and No. 2 differential support protector.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and No. 1 differential support protector.

  16. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws, 2 clips, grommet and rear No. 4 bumper side support LH.

  17. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws, 2 clips, grommet and rear No. 4 bumper side support RH.

  18. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 nuts to disconnect the front exhasut pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts, 4 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust tailpipe assembly.

    3. Remove the 4 gaskets.
  19. REMOVE EXHAUST TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. for Type A:

      Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. for Type B:

      Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors.

    3. Remove the 6 exhaust pipe supports and exhaust tailpipe assembly.

  20. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Type A:

      *B for LH Side
      1. Remove the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.
      2. Remove the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies from the exhaust tailpipe assembly.
    2. for Type B:

      *A for RH Side
      *B for LH Side
      1. Remove the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.
      2. Remove the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies from the exhaust tailpipe assembly.
