Installation [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Type A (New article):
      1. Align the joint of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly with the valve plate of the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. Install the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.

        Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    2. for Type A (Reuse):
      1. Align the joint of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly with the valve plate of the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. Turn the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      3. Install the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.

        Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Install the same parts to their original positions.

    3. for Type B (New article):
      1. Align the joint of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly with the valve plate of the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. Install the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.

        Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    4. for Type B (Reuse):
      1. Align the joint of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly with the valve plate of the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. Turn the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      3. Install the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.

        Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Install the same parts to their original positions.

  2. INSTALL EXHAUST TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 6 exhaust pipe supports to the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. for Type A:

      Attach the 2 clamps and connect the 4 connectors as shown in the illustration.

      *a Black *b White
    3. for Type B:

      Attach the 2 clamps and connect the 2 connectors as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install 2 new gaskets to the front exhaust pipe assembly of the rear side.

    2. Install 2 new gaskets to the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

    3. Install the front exhaust pipe assembly to the exhaust tailpipe assembly with 4 new nuts and 4 new bolts.

      Torque: 39 N.m (398 kgf/cm, 29 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not reuse the bolt, nut and gasket.

    4. Install the front exhaust pipe assembly to the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH with 4 new nuts and 4 new bolts.

      Torque: 39 N.m (398 kgf/cm, 29 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not reuse the bolt, nut and gasket.

  4. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 
    1. Attach the grommet and install the rear No. 4 bumper side support RH with the 2 screws and 2 clips.
  5. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Attach the grommet and install the rear No. 4 bumper side support LH with the 2 screws and 2 clips.
  6. INSTALL NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Install the No. 1 differential support protector with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Install the No. 2 differential support protector with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  8. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front center floor brace sub-assembly with the 12 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)

  9. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR CROSS BRACE RH (w/ Front Suspension Member Brace) 
    1. Install the front No. 1 floor cross brace RH with the 2 bolts and nut.

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 30 N.m (306 kgf/cm, 22 ft.lbf)

  10. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR CROSS BRACE LH (w/ Front Suspension Member Brace) 
    1. Install the front No. 1 floor cross brace LH with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 71 N.m (724 kgf/cm, 52 ft.lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 30 N.m (306 kgf/cm, 22 ft.lbf)

      Torque: 71 N.m (724 kgf/cm, 52 ft.lbf) 

  11. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  13. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [05/2023 - ]

  15. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front floor cover RH with the 6 clips, 4 grommets, nut and bolt.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front floor cover RH with the 6 clips, 3 grommets, nut and bolt.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  16. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front floor cover LH with the 6 clips, 4 grommets, nut and bolt.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front floor cover LH with the 6 clips, 3 grommets, nut and bolt.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  17. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL RH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front fender seal RH with the 3 clips, 3 plate washers and grommet.
    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front fender seal RH with the 4 clips, 4 plate washers and grommet.
  18. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL LH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front fender seal LH with the 3 clips, 3 plate washers and grommet.
    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the front fender seal LH with the 4 clips, 4 plate washers and grommet.
  19. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the rear floor side member cover RH with the 2 clips, 3 bolts, nut, and screw.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the rear floor side member cover RH with the 3 clips, 3 bolts, nut, screw and plate washer.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  20. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH 
    1. w/o Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the rear floor side member cover LH with the 2 clips, 3 bolts, nut, and screw.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    2. w/ Front Suspension Member Brace:
      1. Install the rear floor side member cover LH with the 3 clips, 3 bolts, nut, screw and plate washer.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  21. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    If gas is leaking, tighten the areas necessary to stop the leak. Replace damaged parts as necessary.

    If an exhaust gas leak has been repaired, perform an inspection following the repair.
