Removal [04/2013 - 10/2016]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to PRECAUTION [06/2014 - 10/2016]

  2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 10/2016]

  3. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2015 - 10/2016]

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ No. 2 Engine Under Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2015 - 10/2016]

  5. REMOVE LOWER MAIN SHAFT DUST COVER

      Remove the 2 bolts and lower main shaft dust cover.

  6. REMOVE STEERING ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

      Loosen the bolt (A).

      NOTE:

      Do not remove the bolt (A)

    2. Remove the bolt (B).

      Slide the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly and put matchmarks on the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly and the power steering link assembly.

    4. Separate the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly from the power steering link assembly.
    5. While pushing the claws on both sides of the connector, move the lock as shown in the illustration.

    6. Disconnect the connector from the steering actuator assembly.

      Using a screwdriver and needle-nose pliers, loosen the clamp as shown in the illustration.

      Put matchmarks on the steering actuator assembly and No. 1 steering column hole cover sub-assembly.

    9. Remove the steering actuator assembly with the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly from the vehicle.
  7. REMOVE STEERING SLIDING YOKE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Put matchmarks on the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly and steering actuator assembly.

    2. Remove the bolt and steering sliding yoke sub-assembly.
