Removal [04/2013 - 10/2017]: Procedure

- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2016 - 10/2017]
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE
See step 5[04/2013 - 08/2015], or see step 5[08/2015 - 10/2017]
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
See step 6[04/2013 - 08/2015], or see step 6[08/2015 - 10/2017]
- REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the wire harness from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the wire harness clamp from the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 brackets from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
- Disconnect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.
- Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.NOTE:
If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
HINT:
Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
- Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the wire harness from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
- REMOVE SPARK PLUG
- Remove the 6 spark plugs from the cylinder head assembly.NOTE:
If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
HINT:
Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
- Remove the 6 spark plugs from the cylinder head assembly.
