Removal [04/2013 - 10/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2016 - 10/2017]

  2. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 

    See step  5[04/2013 - 08/2015], or see step  5[08/2015 - 10/2017]

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    See step  6[04/2013 - 08/2015], or see step  6[08/2015 - 10/2017]

  4. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the wire harness from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the wire harness clamp from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 brackets from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
    4. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.
    5. Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  5. REMOVE SPARK PLUG 
    1. Remove the 6 spark plugs from the cylinder head assembly.
      NOTE:

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
