Installation [10/2017 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL REAR ENGINE OIL SEAL
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new rear engine oil seal.NOTE:
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the rear oil seal retainer edge.
*a -0.5 to 0.5mm - SST: 09223-15030
- SST: 09950-70010
- 09951-07150
Standard depth
-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)
NOTE:- Wipe off extra grease of the crankshaft.
- Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Do not tap on the oil seal at an angle.
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new rear engine oil seal.
- INSTALL DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.
- SST: 09213-70010
- 09213-70020
- SST: 09330-00021
- SST: 09213-70010
- Clean the 8 bolts and 8 bolt holes.
- Install the crank angle sensor plate, drive plate and ring gear sub-assembly and rear drive plate spacer to the crankshaft.
*1 Crank Angle Sensor Plate *2 Drive Plate and Ring Gear *3 Rear drive plate Spacer Automatic Transmission Side HINT:
As the crank angle sensor plate, drive plate and ring gear and rear drive plate spacer are not reversible, be sure to install it in the direction shown in the illustration.
- Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads at the end of each of the 8 bolts.

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent
- Install and uniformly tighten the 8 bolts in several steps in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: 83 N.m (846 kgf/cm, 61 ft.lbf)

NOTE:Do not start the engine for at least an hour after installing the drive plate.
- Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.
