Removal [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - ] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 
    1. Remove the 14 clips and upper radiator support seal.

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws labeled A and 2 screws labeled B.

    2. Remove the 4 screws and 4 bolts.

    3. Remove the 4 screws.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    4. Put protective tape around the front bumper cover.

      *1 Protective Tape
    5. Detach the 16 claws and remove the front bumper cover.
    6. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    7. w/ Headlight Cleaner System:

      Disconnect the headlight cleaner hose.

    8. w/ Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors.

    9. Remove the front bumper cover.
  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Remove the front bumper energy absorber.

  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER LOWER COVER 
    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts and front bumper lower cover.
  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 6 nuts and front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper No. 2 extension sub-assembly LH.

  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019] )

  11. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the front bumper side support LH.
  13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER LOWER NO. 2 RETAINER 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the front bumper lower No. 2 retainer.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for all front bumper lower No. 2 retainers.

  15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER CENTER UPPER RETAINER 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper center upper retainer.

  16. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH 
    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the radiator side deflector LH.

  17. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and front bumper bracket sub-assembly LH.

  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
