Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2017 - 05/2018], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [05/2018 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2017 - 05/2018], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [05/2018 - ]

  4. SEPARATE FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 

    See step  2 [10/2015 - 09/2016], or See step  2 [09/2016 - ]

  5. SEPARATE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING 
    1. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the front shock absorber with coil spring from the front lower suspension arm assembly.

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

  6. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  9 [10/2015 - 05/2018], or See step  10 [05/2018 - ]

  7. SEPARATE TIE ROD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2017 - 05/2018], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [05/2018 - ]

  8. SEPARATE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the front lower ball joint assembly from the steering knuckle.

  9. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a jack and wooden block, support the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.

      Front of the Vehicle
      Wooden block placement location
      NOTE:

      Keep the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly supported until installation of the front lower suspension arm assembly is complete.

    2. Loosen the installation nut of the lower No. 2 arm bracket sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not remove the nut.

    3. Remove the bolt, nut and washer on the front of the front lower suspension arm assembly.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts, nut, strut bar bracket reinforcement, front suspension member mount bracket sub-assembly and front lower suspension arm assembly.

  10. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY 

    See step  2

  11. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 ARM BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut, washer and lower No. 2 arm bracket sub-assembly from the front lower suspension arm assembly.
