Installation [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    2. Engage the 3 claws.
    3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle.
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly.
      • Do not damage the radiator assembly and cooler condenser assembly when removing the radiator assembly.
  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT 
    1. Install the engine room ECU outlet duct.
  5. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.
  6. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    2. Engage the 5 clamps and connect the No. 2 engine room main wire to the upper radiator support.
    3. Connect the smog ventilation sensor connector.
    4. Connect the low pitched horn assembly connector.
    5. Connect the high pitched horn assembly connector.
  7. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Engage the 6 clamps and connect the engine room main wire to the upper radiator support.
    2. Connect the 2 cooling fan ECU connectors.
  8. CONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE 
    1. Install the oil cooler tube to the fan shroud assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the No. 3 transmission oil cooler hose and No. 4 transmission oil cooler hose to the radiator assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
  9. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  10. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  11. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the radiator reserve tank assembly to the fan shroud assembly.
    2. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    3. Connect the reserve tank outlet hose to the water inlet housing and slide the clip to secure it.
  12. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the clamp and connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support.
  13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  14. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  15. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2015 - ]

  16. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 
    1. Install the inlet No. 1 air cleaner with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

  17. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  18. CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  19. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  20. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  21. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 96 [10/2015 - 05/2018], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 97 [05/2018 - ]

  22. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 98 [10/2015 - 05/2018], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 99 [05/2018 - ]

  23. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2017 - ]
