Removal [09/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2015 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2017 - ]

  3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

  4. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire.
    3. Remove the terminal cap.

      *1 Terminal Cap
      *2 Oil Cooler Tube
    4. Remove the nut and disconnect the engine wire from terminal B.
    5. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.
    6. Remove the bolt and separate the oil cooler tube.
    7. Remove the bolt A and engine wire bracket.

      *1 Engine Wire Bracket
    8. Remove the bolt B and 2 nuts.
    9. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and generator assembly.
