Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2015 - ] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ] ).

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2015 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2015 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2015 - ]

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [10/2015 - ]

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Lift up the front No. 2 speaker assembly, disconnect the connector on the back of the speaker and remove the speaker.

      NOTE:

      Do not touch the cone of the speaker.

      HINT: 

      • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
      • The procedure listed above is for the LH side.
  8. REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [10/2015 - ]

  9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Lift up the front No. 3 speaker assembly, disconnect the connector on the back of the speaker and remove the speaker.
      NOTE:

      Do not touch the cone of the speaker.
