Rear Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction [06/2018 - 07/2019]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

  2. CHECK REAR SEAT BELT WARNING 
    1. Check the rear seat belt warning function.

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH (FOR LH)) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G17 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the N69 rear seat inner belt assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G17-14 (RLSB) - N69-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      G17-14 (RLSB) or N69-5 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N69-4 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH (FOR CENTER)) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (FOR CENTER) - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G17 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the N74 rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH (for center) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G17-13 (RCSB) - N74-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      G17-13 (RCSB) or N74-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N74-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

    REPLACE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]

  7. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH (FOR RH)) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (FOR RH) - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G17 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the N72 rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH (for RH) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G17-12 (RRSB) - N72-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      G17-12 (RRSB) or N72-5 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N72-4 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
