Removal [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Turn back the luggage compartment trim cover RH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2020 - 08/2021]

  2. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and open the battery terminal connector cover in the order shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    3. Disconnect the battery hose from the auxiliary battery.

    4. Remove the bolt and remove the No. 3 battery clamp as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    5. Remove the auxiliary battery.
