Removal [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2022 - ]
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY
- Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.
*1 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose *2 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose - Type A:
*a Bolt or Nut - Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.
- Type B:
- Remove the 2 bolts, 3 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.
- Remove the EGR valve gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.
*1 EGR Valve Gasket *2 EGR Cooler Gasket - Remove the EGR cooler gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.
- Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.
