Removal [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

      *1 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose
    2. Type A:

      *a Bolt or Nut
      1. Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.
    3. Type B:
      1. Remove the 2 bolts, 3 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.
    4. Remove the EGR valve gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.

      *1 EGR Valve Gasket
      *2 EGR Cooler Gasket
    5. Remove the EGR cooler gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.
