DTC B241A: Rear Height Control Sensor [06/2018 - 07/2019]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Wait 10 seconds or more.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    6. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B241A is not output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2020]

    2. Inspect the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - 08/2020]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2020] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the A11 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O3-3 (SHB) - A11-16 (SBR) Always Below 1 Ω
      O3-2 (SHRR) - A11-17 (SHRL) Always Below 1 Ω
      O3-1 (SHG) - A11-15 (SGR) Always Below 1 Ω
      O3-3 (SHB) or A11-16 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O3-2 (SHRR) or A11-17 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
