Installation [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the control shaft lever clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise 2 notches.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install a new clip to the transmission control cable assembly.
    3. Using a screwdriver, engage the 4 claws and install the transmission control cable assembly to the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

      *2 No. 1 Transmission Control Cable Bracket

      NOTE:
      • Make sure that the claws (A) of the clip are securely engaged in the grooves of the bracket.
      • Make sure that the transmission control cable assembly is securely installed inside of the claws (B) of the clip.
    4. Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the control shaft lever with the nut.

      Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Before installing the transmission control cable assembly, check that the shift lever position sensor and the shift lever are in N.

    5. Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the inverter with converter assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    6. Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf) 

    7. Pass the transmission control cable assembly into the vehicle and install the transmission control cable assembly to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf) 

  2. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Engage the clamp.
    2. Install the engine room main wire to the No. 2 ECM bracket with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    3. Connect the ECM connector and rotate the lever to lock it.
      NOTE:
      • When connecting the ECM connectors, make sure that the connecting parts of the ECM connectors are free of dirt, water and other foreign matter.
      • Be sure to securely connect the ECM connector.
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT 
    1. Install the No. 1 console box duct.
    2. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness.
  4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2018 - 01/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [01/2020 - 09/2022] , or refer to INSTALLATION [09/2022 - ] 

  5. INSTALL FRONT LOWER NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Install the front lower No. 1 floor heat insulator to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2018 - ]

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 47 [08/2021 - ]

  9. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  10. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2022 - ]

  11. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION 

    See step  2 [06/2018 - 09/2022], or see step  2 [09/2022 - ]

  12. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION 

    See step  3 [06/2018 - 09/2022], or see step  3 [09/2022 - ]
