DTC B1ACB-71: Front Left Speaker Cable Actuator Stuck [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK PROBLEM SYMPTOM 
    1. Confirm the problem symptoms and proceed to the respective link.

      No sound is output from the front No. 2 speaker assembly LH B
      No sound is output from the front No. 4 speaker assembly LH

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J19 front No. 1 speaker assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G11-4 (WFL+) - J19-2 (WF+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G11-19 (WFL-) - J19-1 (WF-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

    REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - ]

  4. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Refer to UTILITY [09/2022 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B1ACB-71 is output B

    Result: 

    A 

    END (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH IS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G79 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G11-12(FL+) - G79-2(+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G11-27(FL-) - G79-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Replace the front No. 2 speaker assembly LH with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

  7. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Refer to UTILITY [09/2022 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B1ACB-71 is output B

    Result: 

    A 

    END (FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH IS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J18 front No. 4 speaker assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G11-10 (TWL+) - J18-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G11-25 (TWL-) - J18-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  9. REPLACE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Replace the front No. 4 speaker assembly LH with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - ]

  10. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.
