DTC B1ACA-71: Front Right Speaker Cable Actuator Stuck [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK PROBLEM SYMPTOM 
    1. Confirm the problem symptoms and proceed to the respective link.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J2 front No. 1 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G11-5 (WFR+) - J2-2 (WF+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G11-20 (WFR-) - J2-1 (WF-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - ]

    REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - ]

  4. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Refer to UTILITY [09/2022 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B1ACA-71 is output B

    Result:

    END (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH IS DEFECTIVE)

    REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH, DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G78 front No. 2 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the G129 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G11-13 (FR+) - G129-1 (SPI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G11-28 (FR-) - G129-2 (SPI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G129-3 (SPO+) - G78-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G129-4 (SPO-) - G78-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  6. INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) (SPO+, SPO-, SPI+, SPI-) 
    1. Remove the DCM (telematics transceiver).

      *a Component without harness connected
      (DCM (Telematics Transceiver))

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (SPO+) - 1 (SPI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      4 (SPO-) - 2 (SPI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      1 (SPI+) - 2 (SPI-) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3 (SPO+) - 4 (SPO-) Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER). Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  7. REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Replace the front No. 2 speaker assembly RH with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

  8. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G78 front no. 2 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G11-13 (FR+) - G78-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G11-28 (FR-) - G78-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

  10. REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the front No. 2 speaker assembly with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

  11. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J1 front no. 4 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G11-11 (TWR+) - J1-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G11-26 (TWR-) - J1-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  13. REPLACE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Replace the front No. 4 speaker assembly with a new or known good one.
