DTC B15A6-87: Display Missing Message [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G22 multi-display assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G22-13 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G22-12 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch OFF 11 to 14 V
      G22-23 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G22 multi-display assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G146 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G22-7 (TX+) - G146-1 (TX1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G22-19 (TX-) - G146-2 (TX1-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G22-7 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G22-19 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 60 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 60 seconds.
    5. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B15A6-87 is output B

    Result: 

    A 

    END (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]
