DTC B1579-13: Voice Recognition Microphone1 Circuit Open [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY LH - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY, DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)) 
    1. Disconnect the P24 telephone microphone assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G146 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the G128 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P24-5 (SNS1) - G146-25 (SNS) Always Below 1 Ω
      P24-4 (MO1-) - G128-7 (MCI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P24-5 (SNS1) or G146-25 (SNS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P24-4 (MO1-) or G128-7 (MCI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) (MCI-) 
    1. With the DCM (telematics transceiver) connectors connected, disconnect the P24 telephone microphone assembly LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P24-4 (MO1-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK

    REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER). Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the G146 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the P24 telephone microphone assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P24-5 (SNS1) - G146-25 (SNS) Always Below 1 Ω
      P24-4 (MO1-) - G146-22 (MIN-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P24-5 (SNS1) or G146-25 (SNS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P24-4 (MO1-) or G146-22 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (MIN-) 
    1. With the radio receiver assembly connectors connected, disconnect the P24 telephone microphone assembly LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P24-4 (MO1-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  6. INSPECT TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY LH (SNS1, MO1-) 
    1. Remove the telephone microphone assembly LH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
