Installation [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Insert the HV floor under wire into the floor panel hole and engage the grommet.

    2. Install 2 new clamps in the order shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the nut.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    4. Install the 2 nuts and a new clamp in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    5. Install the nut.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    6. Connect the HV floor under wire connector.
    7. Engage the clamp.
    8. Install the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    9. Install the HV floor under wire with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  2. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL CENTER NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Install the center No. 2 floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf/cm, 44 in.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2020 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2022 - ]

  5. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2018 - ]

  6. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2018 - ]

  7. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Connect the floor wire connector.
    2. Connect the shield ground to the HV battery.
    3. Connect the 2 HV battery junction block assembly connectors.
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the connectors are connected securely.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 HV BATTERY COVER PANEL RH 
  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LEG SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  4

  10. INSTALL REAR UNDER COVER 

    See step  5

  11. INSTALL REAR UNDER SIDE COVER LH 

    See step  6

  12. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  13. INSTALL REAR UNDER SIDE COVER RH 

    See step  8

  14. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2021 - ]

  16. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2021 - ]

  17. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  18. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:

    Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.

    1. Connect the inverter with converter assembly connector and move the lock lever to lock it.

      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connectors.
      • To prevent damage due to static electricity, do not touch the terminals of the disconnected connectors.
      • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or inverter with converter assembly when connecting the connectors.
  19. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2018 - ] 

  20. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    If gas is leaking, tighten the areas necessary to stop the leak. Replace damaged parts as necessary.

    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after repairing an exhaust gas leak.
