Inspection [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT VAS (-) RELAY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
      3 - 4 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
      Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      4 - 5 Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *a Component without harness connected
      (VAS (-) Relay)
    2. If the result is not as specified, replace the VAS (-) relay.
  2. INSPECT VAS (+) RELAY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
      3 - 4 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
      Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      4 - 5 Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. If the result is not as specified, replace the VAS (+) relay.
