Interior Light Switch Signal Circuit [06/2018 - ]: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
- Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List
Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Dome Light DOOR SW Door switch signal ON or OFF ON: Door switch pressed
OFF: Door switch not pressed- Dome Light SW Dome light switch signal ON or OFF ON: Dome light switch ON

- Remove the map light assembly.

- Inspect the map light assembly.

- Remove the map light assembly.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the G36 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P12-18 (DOOR) - G36-26 (DMDR) Always Below 1 Ω P12-19 (CILL) - G36-16 (DMON) Always Below 1 Ω P12-20 (GND9) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω P12-18 (DOOR) or G36-26 (DMDR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher P12-19 (CILL) or G36-16 (DMON) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Result

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the G36 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
- Disconnect the P12 map light assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
