DTC B15C3: Speaker Output Short [06/2018 - 10/2019]: Procedure

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G10 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the G79 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.
    4. Disconnect the J2 and J19 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    5. Disconnect the H6 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    6. Disconnect the M1 and L6 rear speaker assembly connectors. (Door Trim Wood Panel Type, w/o Ambient Light)
    7. Disconnect the M1 and M4 rear speaker assembly connectors. (Except Door Trim Wood Panel Type)
    8. Disconnect the M1 and M4 rear speaker assembly connectors. (w/ Ambient Light)
    9. Disconnect the N75 speaker assembly with bracket connector.
    10. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    1. Disconnect the G10 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G78 front No. 2 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

  4. INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Remove the DCM (telematics transceiver).

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 10/2019]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the G78 and G79 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    3. Disconnect the J2 and J19 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    4. Disconnect the H6 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    5. Disconnect the M1 and M4 rear speaker assembly connectors.
    6. Disconnect the N75 speaker assembly with bracket connector.
    7. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    1. Remove the rear speaker assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear speaker assembly.

    1. Remove the speaker assembly with bracket.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    2. Inspect the speaker assembly with bracket.

    1. Remove the front No. 3 speaker assembly.

  10. REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    2. Inspect the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

    REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022] 

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G10 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the G79 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.
    4. Disconnect the J2 and J19 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    5. Disconnect the H6 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    6. Disconnect the J1 and J18 front No. 4 speaker assembly connectors.
    7. Disconnect the M1 and M4 rear speaker assembly connectors.
    8. Disconnect the N75 speaker assembly with bracket connector.
    9. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      G11-13 (FR+) or G10-2 (SPI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Disconnect the G78 and G79 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    3. Disconnect the J2 and J19 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    4. Disconnect the H6 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    5. Disconnect the J1 and J18 front No. 4 speaker assembly connectors.
    6. Disconnect the M1 and M4 rear speaker assembly connectors.
    7. Disconnect the N75 speaker assembly with bracket connector.
    8. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    1. Remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

    2. Inspect the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

  18. REPLACE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the front No. 3 speaker assembly.

    2. Inspect the front No. 3 speaker assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

  19. REPLACE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the front No. 4 speaker assembly.

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
