DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [07/2019 - 10/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A11 headlight assembly LH connector.*1
    2. Disconnect the A78 headlight assembly LH connector.*2
    3. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR TMMK MADE BEFORE SEP. 2019 PRODUCTION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A11-11 (TNS) - G16-13 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A11-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    *a Component without harness connected

    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Remove each headlight ECU sub-assembly, interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021] 

  6. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Remove each headlight ECU sub-assembly, interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 08/2021]

  7. CHECK HEADLIGHT CORD LH 
    1. Interchange the headlight cord LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    2. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT CORD LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 08/2021]

  8. CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Remove each headlight ECU sub-assembly, interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

  10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R9 rear combination light lens and body LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R9-3 (TRN) - G16-11 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      R9-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

  11. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light lens and body LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    2. Inspect the rear combination light lens and body LH.

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R9 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      R9-3 (TRN) - G16-11 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω

  14. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A12 headlight assembly RH connector.*1
    2. Disconnect the A79 headlight assembly RH connector.*2
    3. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR TMMK MADE BEFORE SEP. 2019 PRODUCTION

      A12-11 (TNS) - G16-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.
