DTC P0195-15: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [06/2018 - 07/2019]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CHECK FOR OPEN IN WIRE HARNESS)
*1 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor *2 ECM *a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Engine Oil Temperature Sensor)- - - Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Connect terminals 1 and 2 of the engine oil temperature sensor connector on the wire harness side.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Engine Oil Temperature Sensor.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Engine Oil Temperature Sensor - According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

Techstream Display Specified Condition Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Higher than 168°C (334°F) Result
Proceed to OK NG

OK
REPLACE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 10/2019]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
