- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Engine Oil Temperature Sensor)HINT:
Make sure that the connector is properly connected. If it is not, securely connect it and check for DTCs again.
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition C116-3 (VC) - C116-2 (GND) Power switch on (IG) 4.5 to 5.5 V C116-4 (TOUT) - C116-2 (GND) Power switch on (IG) 0.54 to 4.86 V - Turn the power switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the ECM connector.

- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Engine Oil Temperature Sensor.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Engine Oil Temperature Sensor - According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
