Blind Spot Monitor Sensor Communication Stop Mode [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the R4 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R4-2 (CA1P) - R4-7 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R4-10 (BRGD) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R4-5 (BRB) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    NG
