Power Trunk Lid does not Operate Using Cabin Switch [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Trunk/BDoor Open SW Trunk and fuel switch assembly (luggage compartment door opening switch) signal OFF or ON OFF: Trunk and fuel switch assembly (luggage compartment door opening switch) off
      ON: Trunk and fuel switch assembly (luggage compartment door opening switch) on      		 -

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Trunk/BDoor Open SW

      OK

      The Data List item changes according to the operation of the trunk and fuel switch assembly (luggage compartment door opening switch).

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. INSPECT TRUNK AND FUEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING SWITCH) 
    1. Remove the trunk and fuel switch assembly (luggage compartment door opening switch).

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the trunk and fuel switch assembly (luggage compartment door opening switch).

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TRUNK AND FUEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING SWITCH). Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRUNK AND FUEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING SWITCH) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G38 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G30-4 (B) - G38-4 (TSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      G30-3 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G30-4 (B) or G38-4 (TSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
