Power Trunk Lid does not Operate Using Any Switches [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CUSTOMIZE SETTING 
    1. Read the customize setting according to the display on the Techstream.

      PSD & PBD operation

  2. CHECK POWER TRUNK LID OPERATION 
    1. Check that the power trunk lid operates normally.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2018 - 09/2022] , or refer to OPERATION CHECK [09/2022 - ]

      Power trunk lid does not operate normally B

    Result:

    GO TO POWER TRUNK LID CANNOT BE OPERATED FREQUENTLY. Refer to  Power Trunk Lid cannot be Operated Frequently [08/2021 - ]

  3. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs

  4. DTC REPRODUCTION TEST 
    1. Wait for approximately 10 seconds.

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble Codes

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2021 - ]

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R23 luggage closer motor assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R23-2 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V
      R23-7 (ECUB) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      R23-1 (B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R23-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  7. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

  8. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the luggage door opening cancel switch assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

    2. Inspect the luggage door opening cancel switch assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

    REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G37 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G61-2 (B) - G37-27 (TMSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      G61-1 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G61-2 (B) or G37-27 (TMSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
