DTC B2251: PBD/PTL Closer Switch [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG)
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Trouble Codes.
5. Clear the DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs 

6. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   DTC B2251 is not output.

   Result

   Proceed to

   NG

Result:

2. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

1. Remove the luggage door closer assembly.

2. Inspect the luggage door closer assembly. (each switchs)

   Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

1. Disconnect the R7 luggage closer motor assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   R7-7 (HAF) - R18-6 (FSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   R7-20 (PAWL) - R18-11 (CLS)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   R7-7 (HAF) or R18-6 (FSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   R7-20 (PAWL) or R18-11 (CLS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
