DTC B2205: Kick Sensor Circuit [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Trouble Codes.
- Clear the DTCs.
Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs
- Recheck for DTCs.
Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble Codes
OK
DTC B2205 is not output.
Result
Proceed to OK NG

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ]

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Disconnect the S5 kick door control sensor connector.
- Wait for approximately 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs.
Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs
- Check for DTCs.
Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble Codes
OK
DTC B2205 is not output.
Result

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY - KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR)
- Disconnect the R7 luggage closer motor assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R7-24 (KSIN) or S5-3 (KSOT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Result
