Removal [08/2020 - 08/2021]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BATTERY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 08/2021]

  2. REMOVE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 08/2021]

  3. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  6. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  10. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  11. REMOVE FLOW SHUTTING VALVE (NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE) 
    1. Disengage the 3 clamps to remove the transmission breather clamp.

    2. Disengage the 3 clamps to remove the hose clamp.

    3. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) and transmission breather hose from the hose clamp.

    4. Slide the clip and disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) from the water outlet.

      HINT: 

      Use a container to catch any engine coolant which flows out of the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) and water outlet.

    5. Slide the clip and disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) from the transmission oil cooler.

      HINT: 

      Use a container to catch any engine coolant which flows out of the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) and transmission oil cooler.

    6. Disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) connector.

    7. Remove the bolt and flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose).
