Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2022 - ]
- REMOVE NO. 3 BRAKE TUBE CLAMP
- Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the piping clamp.NOTE:
When removing and installing the piping clamp, be careful not to deform the suction pipe sub-assembly or air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
- Remove the bolt to separate the No. 3 brake tube clamp from the vehicle body.
- Disengage the clamp and remove the No. 3 brake tube clamp.
- Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the piping clamp.
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2022 - ]
- REMOVE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE O-RING
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the O-ring is necessary.
- Remove the O-ring from the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.NOTE:
- When removing the O-ring, be careful not to damage the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
- If the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly is damaged, replace the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly with a new one.
- Remove the O-ring from the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
