Mute Signal Circuit between Stereo Component Amplifier and Telematics Transceiver [06/2018 - 10/2019]: Procedure

1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   *a	Component with harness connected (DCM (Telematics Transceiver))

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G10-17 (MUTE) - Body ground	Power switch on (ACC), audio system playing → Emergency call mode	2.0 V or higher → Below 1 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [06/2018 - 10/2019] 

Result: 

NG

1. Disconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the G10 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G11-2 (TMUT) - G10-17 (MUTE)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G11-2 (TMUT) or G10-17 (MUTE) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Reconnect the G11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to DCM (Telematics Transceiver))

   Standard Voltage
