DTC P0195-11: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Ground [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(to Engine Oil Temperature Sensor)HINT:
Make sure that the connector is properly connected. If it is not, securely connect it and check for DTCs again.
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition C116-3 (VC) - C116-2 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) 4.5 to 5.5 V C116-4 (TOUT) - C116-2 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) 0.54 to 4.86 V - Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition C116-3 (VC) - C116-4 (TOUT) Engine switch off 171 to 189 kΩ Result
Proceed to OK NG
Result:
OK
REPLACE OIL PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C116-3 (VC) - C77-99 (VCPE) Always Below 1 Ω C116-4 (TOUT) or C77-123 (THEO) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher Result
