DTC P0A1D-94: Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module Unexpected Operation [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) 
    1. Check the connections of the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

      Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [06/2018 - ]

      OK

      The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact pressure problems.

    CONNECT SECURELY

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (BATTERY ECU ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the appropriate service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Remove the No. 1 HV battery hose.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2022 - ]

    3. Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the battery ECU assembly.

      Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [06/2018 - ]

      OK

      The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.

    4. Install the No. 1 HV battery hose.

      Result

      OK
      NG

  3. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (NO. 1 HYBRID BATTERY PACK WIRE)) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the appropriate service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Remove the No. 4 HV battery protector.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2022 - ]

    3. Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the HV battery.

      Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [06/2018 - ]

      OK

      The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.

    4. Install the No. 4 HV battery protector.
