Monitor Description

The ECM and battery ECU assembly send and receive signals via CAN communication.

If a communication error occurs between the ECM and battery ECU assembly, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area MIL Memory Note
U1175-87 Lost Communication with HV Battery (Powertrain Bus) Missing Message All of the following conditions are met for 50.6 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic):
  • Power switch on (IG)
  • Auxiliary battery voltage is 9.5 V or higher
  • No communication between ECM and battery ECU assembly
  • CAN communication system
  • Battery ECU assembly
  • ECM
 Comes on DTC stored SAE Code: U1175
