Removal [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [06/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

    2. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.
    2. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
