DTC C1259: HV Control System Regenerative Malfunction; DTC C1310: HV System Malfunction [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if a hybrid control system DTCs are output.

      for Nickel Metal Hydride Battery: Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2018 - ]

      for Lithium-ion Battery: Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2020 - ]

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output. A
      DTCs are output. B

    Result: 

    INSPECT HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM 

    for Nickel Metal Hydride Battery: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ]

    for Lithium-ion Battery: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2020 - ]

  2. CHECK DTC (MOTOR GENERATOR CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if a motor generator control system DTCs are output.

      for Nickel Metal Hydride Battery: Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2018 - ]

      for Lithium-ion Battery: Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2020 - ]

      Powertrain > Motor Generator > Trouble Codes

    Result: 

    INSPECT MOTOR GENERATOR CONTROL SYSTEM

  3. CHECK DTC (SFI SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if a SFI system DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2022 - ]

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

  4. CHECK DTC (HYBRID BATTERY SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if a hybrid battery system DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2020 - ]

      Powertrain > HV Battery > Trouble Codes

      DTCs are not output. A
      DTCs are output. B

    Result: 

    INSPECT HYBRID BATTERY SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2020 - ]

  5. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2018 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the power switch off.
    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    4. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2018 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs C1259 and/or C1310 are output. A
      DTCs other than C1259 and C1310 are output. B
      DTCs are not output. C

    Result: 

    REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2020 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ]
