Installation [06/2018 - 08/2020]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Place the rear seatback assembly in the cabin.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the 3 hooks as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    3. Install the rear seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Connect each rear seat outer belt to the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH, rear seat shoulder belt guide LH and rear seat center shoulder belt guide.
    5. Connect the rear seat seatback assembly connector.
      1. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the rear seat center headrest assembly.
  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.
  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for HV Model) 
    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. for TMC Made:

      Install in this Direction
      1. Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.
    3. for TMMK Made:

      Install in this Direction
      1. Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.
    4. When reusing the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly:
      1. Pass the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly through the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. Pass the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

      3. Connect the rear seat inner belt assembly LH with the bolt and washer.
      4. Install the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly as a set with the bolt.

        Protruding Part

        Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

        NOTE:
        • Install the rear seat inner belt assembly LH with the arrow on the anchor part facing the front of the vehicle.
        • Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat inner belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
    5. Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shpwn in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
      NOTE:

      Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

    6. When installing a new rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly:
      1. Connect the rear center seat lap type belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 
    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    3. When reusing the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly:
      1. Pass the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly through the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. Pass the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

      3. Connect the rear seat inner belt assembly LH with the bolt and washer.
      4. Install the rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly as a set with the bolt.

      NOTE:

    5. When installing a new rear seat inner belt assembly LH and rear center seat lap type belt assembly:
      1. Connect the rear center seat lap type belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    for 2GR-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    for A25A-FXS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    for Gasoline Model:

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2018 - ]

    for HV Model:

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2018 - ]

  9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    for Gasoline Model:

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2018 - 08/2021]

    for HV Model:

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2018 - 08/2021]
