Removal [10/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - 08/2016]

  3. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE 
    1. Remove the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Remove the No. 3 inverter bracket.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

    3. Remove the No. 6 inverter bracket.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

    4. Remove the inverter terminal cover.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

    5. Check the terminal voltage.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

    6. Install the inverter terminal cover.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

    7. Install the No. 6 inverter bracket.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

    8. Install the No. 3 inverter bracket.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

    9. Install the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2015 - ]

  4. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - 08/2016]

  5. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  7. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the bracket.

      *a Bracket
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Disengage the 3 clamps.
    4. Using a screwdriver, slide the green-colored lock of the connector (A) as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.

      *a Connector (A)
      *b Connector (B)
      *c Green-colored Lock
      WARNING:

      Make sure to wear insulating gloves.

      NOTE:

      Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector with insulating tape.

    5. Disconnect the connector (B).
    6. Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the bracket.

    7. Remove the compressor with motor assembly.
