  1. CHECK MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY, DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) OR SPEAKERS- BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the J66 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J155 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the K6 and K8 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    4. Disconnect the M3 and N3 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    5. Disconnect the O5 and P5 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J66-7 (CTR+) or J155-1 (SPI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J66-22 (CTR-) or J155-2 (SPI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the J155 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    2. Disconnect the K2 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Remove the DCM (telematics transceiver).

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the O2 and P2 rear speaker assembly connectors.
    2. Disconnect the O5 and P5 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    1. Remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

    2. Inspect the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

  10. REPLACE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the rear No. 2 speaker assembly.

    2. Inspect the rear No. 2 speaker assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2015 - ]

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

      No DTCs are output.

    REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ] 

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY, DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) OR SPEAKERS - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the J66 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J155 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the K5 and K7 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    4. Disconnect the M3 and N3 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    5. Disconnect the O5 and P5 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    6. Disconnect the S53 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    7. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      J66-7 (CTR+) or J155-1 (SPI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the J66 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J155 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the K5 and K7 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    4. Disconnect the M3 and N3 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    5. Disconnect the O5 and P5 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    6. Disconnect the S53 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    7. Disconnect the R25 and S38 quarter side speaker assembly connectors.
    8. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
