DTC B1574: GVIF Disconnected (from Park Assist/Monitoring ECU to EMV/MM Integrated Device) [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the power switch off.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
4. Change the shift position to R and check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - 07/2020]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2020 - ]

1. Disconnect the J171 multi-display assembly connector.

   *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Multi-display Assembly)
   *b	Front view of wire harness connector (to Parking Assist ECU)

2. Disconnect the J172 parking assist ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   J172-2 (GVO-) - J171-2 (GVI-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J172-1 (GVO+) - J171-1 (GVI+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J172-3 (GVG1) - J171-3 (GVG1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J172-2 (GVO-) or J171-2 (GVI-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   J172-1 (GVO+) or J171-1 (GVI+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   J172-3 (GVG1) or J171-3 (GVG1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

2. Clear the DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

3. Turn the power switch off.
4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK
