DTC B15D6: Display Disconnected [12/2017 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check for optional components.
      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        Result

        HINT: 

        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
        • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

  3. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 08/2019]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the J56 multi-display assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J56-13 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J56-12 (B) - J56-13 (GND1) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      J56-24 (ACC) - J56-13 (GND1) Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

      Result

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the J49 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J56 multi-display assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J49-11 (TX4+) - J56-7 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J49-12 (TX4-) - J56-19 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J49-11 (TX4+) or J56-7 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J49-12 (TX4-) or J56-19 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  6. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - 08/2019]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 08/2019]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

    Result:

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 03/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2018 - 08/2019]
