Removal [12/2017 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an SRS part is accidentally deployed, it may cause a serious injury.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH (for LH Side) 

    for 60/40 Split Seat Type:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

    for Captain Seat Type:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH (for RH Side) 

    for 60/40 Split Seat Type:

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for LH Side)

  11. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for RH Side)

  14. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

  17. REMOVE COOLER (NO. 2 ROOM TEMP. SENSOR) THERMISTOR (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  18. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  19. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)

  20. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear No. 2 seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides.

  21. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY

  22. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SIDE AIR DUCT (for RH Side)

  24. REMOVE REAR NO. 6 AIR DUCT (for RH Side)

  25. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly.

  26. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides.
    3. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      *a Locking Button
      *b Protective Tape
      *c Release

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Remove the nut.

    5. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly LH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.
  27. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts.

    5. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly RH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.
