Removal [09/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2015 - 12/2017]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - 08/2016]

  3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  7. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  11. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control shaft lever.

    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly with clip from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the clip from the transmission control cable assembly.

  12. DISCONNECT AIR TUBE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the air tube from the vacuum pump assembly.

  13. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose.

  14. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp.

      *1 Inlet Heater Water Hose
      *2 Outlet Heater Water Hose
    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the inlet heater water hose and outlet heater water hose.
  15. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the vacuum hose sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  17. SEPARATE ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Remove the bolt.
    4. Disconnect the 8 connectors.

    5. Disengage the 2 clamps and claw.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts.
    7. Disconnect the 5 connectors.

    8. Remove the bolt.
    9. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    10. Remove the 2 nuts.
    11. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    12. Remove the 3 bolts and nut.
    13. Remove the bolt and nut to separate the engine wire.

  18. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and vacuum pump assembly from the engine assembly.

    2. Remove the No. 2 O-ring and No. 3 O-ring from the vacuum pump assembly.

      *2 No. 3 O-ring
