Electric Parking Brake ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (PARKING BRAKE ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

(to Parking Brake ECU Assembly) - Disconnect the parking brake ECU assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q24-11 (CANH) - Q24-1 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω Result
Proceed to OK NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE ECU ASSEMBLY)

- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - 09/2017]

(to Parking Brake ECU Assembly) - Disconnect the parking brake ECU assembly connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition Q25-7 (+B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V Q25-12 (+B2) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V Q24-5 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V Q24-3 (BECU) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
