Installation [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure
- TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH
- INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING LH (w/o Air Suspension)

- INSTALL REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Air Suspension)
Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2020]
- TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH
- STABILIZE SUSPENSION
- Install the rear wheel.
- Lower the vehicle and bounce it up and down several times to stabilize the rear suspension.
- Remove the rear wheel.
- Jack up the axle carrier with a wooden block between the jack and axle carrier. Apply a load to the rear suspension so that the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH becomes level.WARNING:
- Do not raise the jack up too high.
- The vehicle could fall, resulting in a serious accident.
NOTE:- When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH, be sure to jack it up slowly.
- Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.
- FULLY TIGHTEN REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH
- Using a ball joint lock nut wrench, fully tighten the rear upper control arm assembly LH with the nut.
Specified tightening torque
Torque: 133 N.m (1356 kgf/cm, 98 ft.lbf)
NOTE:Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.
HINT:
- Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

- When using a ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.906 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 400 mm (15.748 in.)): 96.7 N.m (986 kgf/cm, 71 ft.lbf)
*a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length - Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
- Fully tighten the nut.
Torque: 160 N.m (1632 kgf/cm, 1416 in.lbf)
- Using a ball joint lock nut wrench, fully tighten the rear upper control arm assembly LH with the nut.
- FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH
- Using a ball joint lock nut wrench, fully tighten the rear upper control arm assembly LH with the nut.
Specified tightening torque
Torque: 204 N.m (2080 kgf/cm, 150 ft.lbf)
HINT:
- Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PRECAUTION [09/2019 - 10/2020]
- When using a ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 149.75 mm (5.896 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 600 mm (23.622 in.)): 163.3 N.m (1665 kgf/cm, 120 ft.lbf)
*a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length - Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
- Using a ball joint lock nut wrench, fully tighten the nut.
Specified tightening torque
Torque: 160 N.m (1632 kgf/cm, 118 ft.lbf)
HINT:
- Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

- When using a ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.906 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 400 mm (15.748 in.)): 116.4 N.m (1187 kgf/cm, 86 ft.lbf)
*a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length - Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
- Using a ball joint lock nut wrench, fully tighten the rear upper control arm assembly LH with the nut.
- INSTALL REAR WHEEL

- INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2017 - 10/2020]
- INSPECT AND ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT (w/ Air Suspension)
Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2017 - 10/2020]
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2018 - 10/2020]
- ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING
