Removal [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and No. 2 differential support protector.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 differential support protector.

  3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear suspension member brace LH.

  4. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  6. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using SST, remove the rear drive shaft assembly LH.

      • SST: 09520-01010 
      • SST: 09520-24010 
        1. 09520-32040
      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the oil seal, boot and dust cover.
      • Do not drop the rear drive shaft assembly LH.
      • When carrying the rear drive shaft assembly LH, hold it horizontally.

      HINT: 

      Hook the SST claw at the position shown in the illustration to remove the rear drive shaft assembly LH.

    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the shaft snap ring.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the spline of the rear drive shaft assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
