Installation [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Lexus LS 500h, 2023 Lexus LS 500h, and 2022 Lexus LS 500h. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. INSTALL FRONT LIDAR ADVANCED DRIVE SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:
    • If the front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace the front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly with a new one.
    • Don't have only bracket.
    • The front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly is a precision instrument. Take care not to damage it during removal and installation.
    • If the lens surface of the front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly is dirty, install the front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly after cleaning it with a soft cloth or the like while taking care not to damage it.
    1. Attach the guide.

    2. Install the front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 3.3 N.m (34 kgf/cm, 29 in.lbf) 

    3. Attach the clamp.

    4. Connect the 2 connectors.
  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - 10/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. UPDATE ECU SECURITY KEY 
    NOTE:

    When the front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly is replaced, update the ECU security key.

    Refer to UPDATE ECU SECURITY KEY [10/2020 - ]

  4. WIRED REPROGRAMMING 
    NOTE:

    When the front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly is replaced, perform wired reprogramming.

  5. ADJUST FRONT LIDAR ADVANCED DRIVE SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2021 - ]
